This post is not going to be filled with tips for the next great way to organize your cleaning schedule, or the 437 uses for apple cider vinegar.
I sat down to write and started no less than 5 different post with 5 different topics and finally came down to this.
I dare you:
I dare you, instead of taking the next 5-10 minutes to sit here and read a lengthy blog post and to see what is happening on facebook, sign off and spend that time on your family.
– If you have little ones that still like to snuggle, go grab a book and head to the couch.
– If your little ones aren’t so little anymore, then write a simple note, reminding them that you love them – and tell them why.
As our kiddos return to school this year, whether it’s at home or in a formal classroom, they’ve just ended a carefree summer schedule and have been thrown into new routines. Kids are remarkably flexible and have an amazing ability to adapt and go with the flow.
However, remember that they are still going through transition; changing routines, teachers, friends, surroundings, schedules, managing peer pressure, adapting to new schedules and their world has been turned upside down.
They need something unchanging and stable right now.
That’s you.
So sign off of social media and your blog reading and go spend some time with them. They need to know that they’re more important than facebook. This blog, and all of those others that you read, will still be here tomorrow.
Your kids need you today.
